Brake Pads

The brake pads are also called brake pads. In the automobile braking system, the brake pad is the most critical safety part, and all braking effects are determined by the brake pad. Therefore, a good brake pad is the protector of people and cars.

The brake pad is generally composed of steel plate, adhesive insulation layer and friction block. The steel plate shall be coated to prevent rust. SMT-4 furnace temperature tracker is used to detect the temperature distribution in the coating process to ensure the quality. The thermal insulation layer is composed of non heat transfer materials for thermal insulation. The friction block is composed of friction materials and adhesives. When braking, it is squeezed on the brake disc or brake drum to generate friction, so as to achieve the purpose of vehicle deceleration and braking. Because of the friction, the friction block will gradually be worn. Generally speaking, the brake pads with lower cost will wear faster.

Classification: automobile brake pads are divided into: - brake pads for disc brakes - brake shoes for drum brakes - brake pads for trucks.

The brake pads are mainly divided into the following categories: metal brake pads and carbon ceramic brake pads. The metal brake pads are divided into rare metal brake pads and semi metal brake pads. Ceramic brake pads are classified as rare metal brake pads, and carbon ceramic brake pads are used with carbon ceramic brake discs.

Braking principle: the working principle of the brake is mainly from friction. The friction between the brake pad and the brake disc (drum) and between the tire and the ground is used to convert the kinetic energy of the vehicle moving into the heat energy after friction to stop the vehicle. A set of good and efficient braking system must be able to provide stable, sufficient and controllable braking force, and have good hydraulic transmission and heat dissipation capacity, so as to ensure that the force exerted by the driver from the brake pedal can be fully and effectively transmitted to the master cylinder and sub cylinders, and avoid hydraulic failure and brake recession caused by high heat.

Service life: The replacement of brake pads depends on how long your pads have been used in your car. Generally, the brake pads need to be replaced if you have driven more than 80000km. However, if you hear the friction sound from your wheels, you should replace the brake pads no matter what your mileage. If you are not sure how many kilometers you have driven, you may go to the shop where you replace the pads for free, buy brake pads from them or go to the car service shop to install them.
