Beijing 2022 mascot: Everybody is looking for it!

What is the hottest item each and every athlete participating in the Winter Olympics wants to own? The must-buy item, Bing Dwen Dwen.

If you are so lucky that you have one, put it in a safe place!  Why ?  On 2nd of February 2022 a lot of tourists flocked to Heilongjiang, hoping to buy one, only to find that it (and its related souvenirs) were sold out a few days before they visited there.

Why is Bing Dwen Dwen so popular among people from any country on the globe?  It is not just a mascot, but one that combines two elements: pandas (the national treasure of China) on the one hand and crystals of ice on the other.

It comes with a high sense of science and technology, which is embedded in the idea of striving for the best on snow and ice, which also looks like a spaceman wearing a helmet for snow and ice sports.

Bing Dwen Dwen ‘was born’ in an academy located in a city of China:  The Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.   The ‘killing’ feature of this mascot is its sense of snow and ice, created by a ‘shell’ made of silicone, a material that is harmless to children.

No wonder it has become a global hit!
